A return to seeds

June 12, 2018

Acorns are just oak seeds, and true to our name, we here at Tiny Acorns love seeds! In the las few weeks we have been exploring different seeds by looking at seeds and making projects from them. The children really enjoyed picking sunflower seeds from a dried flower head, and eventually we used those seeds to make seed bombs. A seed bomb is just dirt, seeds, water, and a lot of clay to form a ball. When the seed bomb is left in the right place it will sprout flowers, and is a good weapon to use in our own concrete jungle. If there is a patch of dirt that looks like it needs some flowers, throw a seed bomb on it! It's guerrilla gardening for a good cause.
