Over the past few weeks Tomoko has been teaching the children about musical notes and how to write them on music sheets! They looked at both the treble and bass clefs and noticed the shapes of each. They also know that each one has five lines on which to write the musical notes. Now they are learning what the notes for do, re, mi, and fa sound like, look like, and where they are placed on the line. The newest one they learned today, fa, is between the bottom two lines on the treble clef, so the children have learned that that one is called the "sandwich." A delicious addition to musical education!
