We have a new teacher in the Seeds class! Chaniece is a new addition to our school and we are very lucky to have her. Chaniece has over seven years of experience working in preschools. She is also the mother of Shiloh, who is about to turn five. The children have really warmed up to her and she's been a great addition to our school!
The Seeds class is starting a unit on the five senses. They began with learning about the sense of hearing and talking about what they hear on the way to school. They listened to sounds of different things, like roaring lions and waves, and tried to guess what they were hearing. They read the book, "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?" and then they made their own polar bears using pieces of torn white paper and glue sticks. They have also been pumping up their fine motor skills by using markers and crayons to create their own fabulous drawings!
